Nycomed Pty Ltd is a member of the Nycomed group. The company was incorporated on 16th January 2001 and commenced R&D activities in September 2001. Full commercial operational activities started in September 2003.

Research and production
Nycomed researches, produces and markets medications in its core business of prescription medicines. It also manufactures and markets diagnostic products for imaging technologies and self-medication products which are available without prescription.

Pantoprazole from Nycomed is currently the most successful medication from a German research laboratory. It is used in about 100 countries to treat acid-related diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and esophagus. More than 650 million patients worldwide have been treated successfully with pantoprazole since it was launched.
